This nation has been under a state of judgement for quite some time. The stages of judgement given in deuteronomy 28 spells the state that we are in today. There have been a series of judgements that have already been poured out. Each Judge was followed by a period of relief, giving the nation an opportunity to repent, because God is not willing that any should perish. When there was no repentance made in the periods of relief a more severe judgement followed. The ancients nations of Israel, and Judah saw this process completed by them being removed as nations temporarily.
The events of 9/11 marked the our nation as receiving a final warning. At that time there was a national repentance , but it did not last long. We as a people were quick to return to our evil ways, and committed to them with greater resolve.
We who who know the Lord need to be on our faces before God in intercession for this nation, because we have not much time left. God will not be mocked that which we have sown as a people we will reap.
The Church for the most part has taught and preached half the truth. In it has gone full throttle into the mercy of God, without balancing it out with the righteous judgement of God. The wrath of God is going to be satisfied by a blood sacrifice. If we as a nation repent and turn from our evil ways and to the Cross of Christ for mercy, the blood of Christ will satisfy the wrath of God. If we do not repent the wrath of God will be satisfied through the sacrifice of our own blood.
The same God who freely hands out redemption through the revelation of Jesus Christ is the same one who destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
